Trial versions of software allow you to try them out to see if they work well on your system. Internet Security, by NETGATE TECHNOLOGIES, has a trial version that you can immediately use to detect threats on your system.

How To Get The Trial Version

To get the trial version, simply go to the NETGATE website You will see the download link on the upper left side of the main page. Click this link.

The download file is called “is-setup.exe” and will appear in the bottom left of your screen in Windows. Clicking this will start the setup process.

A window will then appear asking you to allow the program to make changes to your device. Click “Yes”.

Included Features

Most features of the full version of Internet Security are included with the trial version. These include:

  • System Scans
  • Remove Threats
  • FortKnox Firewall
  • Spy Emergency

The trial version of NETGATE Internet Security will remove viruses and malware from your system. You do not need the full version to do this.

Netgate Internet Security Trial Version

If you use the trial version of Internet Security you can scan your system with the Spy Emergency component. A window with the following statement will appear after threats are detected:

“Warning you may have other serious threats on your computer. The trial version of spy emergency does not include live updates to the latest spyware threats. It is recommended that you register the trial version to receive regular updates. Click “buy now” to upgrade your protection now
or continue to remove detected infections.”

It says on the bottom of this window:

  • “Enter serial”
  • “Buy Now”
  • “Continue”

“Buy Now” will upgrade your protection. Clicking “Continue” will remove the threats were detected in the scan.

The trial version will scan and remove the threats that are currently in its database.

Using the NETGATE Internet Security version is a good way to test out this useful system security tool before deciding to spend money on the full version. The trial version includes most of the features of the paid version except updated protection and premium technical support.
