GUI / Interface
Spy Emergency has a main left side menu with these selections:
- The Cage

NETGATE Internet Security Scan includes these selections:
- Quick Scan
- System Scan
- Full Scan
- Custom Scan
Quick Scan will scan areas of your computer most likely to be infected. This is the shortest scan and should take only a few minutes.
System Scan will scan more crucial parts of your system and takes longer than the Quick Scan.
Full Scan will scan your entire system and takes the longest. This provides the most complete scan.
Custom Scan can scan specific areas of your computer, including memory, registry, cookies, and drives. This scan can take very little time to complete, depending on which options are chosen.
All scans run from the same main scan window with the scanning status bar on the bottom.
The scan type button will turn green when you click on it.
The Quick Scan, System Scan, and Full Scan will run immediately upon clicking on the scan type button on the top of the window.
Internet Security Custom Scan
Creating a custom scan is very easy. Just select the files or folders you want to scan and click “start scan”. You can also choose to do a deep scan of the selected folders.
The Remove window will show the threats that have been found and the possibility of removing them.
The Cage window will list all the removed infections. You can choose to delete them forever, or restore them.
You can also bring infections back to life. This is useful if a false infection has been found and you want to restore a useful program.
